Three days filled with innovation, exciting insights and valuable personal encounters are behind us. From October 13 to 15, 2026, we at KombiTec GmbH welcomed more than 140 industry professionals from Germany and abroad to the “NextGen Welding Summit” in Betzigau. For the first time, we hosted the event in collaboration with Bosch Rexroth AG. The focus was on the latest developments in micro-resistance welding, new technologies and innovative solutions for automated manufacturing.
Experience Technologies in Action
Through expert presentations, technical workshops and live demonstrations, we showed our visitors the possibilities offered by modern welding and compaction technology. Our aim was not only to present our technologies but also to demonstrate their practical applications and encourage the exchange of ideas with customers, partners and industry experts.
The joint event marked another important milestone in our collaboration with Bosch Rexroth. Since November 2025, we have been an official “Authorized Partner” of Bosch Rexroth AG. This partnership allows us to combine our expertise and jointly develop new solutions that meet our customers’ needs.
Automated Wire Processing: Bringing Technologies Together
One of the highlights of the summit was the integration of our KWZ-10 compaction tool into the fully automatic Alpha 565 wire processing machine developed by the Swiss company Komax. The Komax Group is one of the world’s leading providers of automated wire processing solutions.
By combining these two technologies, wire processing and compaction can be integrated into a single automated process. This demonstrates how individual production steps can be intelligently interconnected to create efficient manufacturing solutions.
BMG – Bosch Manufacturing Solutions, a company within the Bosch Group, was also represented at the summit. Together, we can develop and implement comprehensive automation concepts tailored to our customers’ individual requirements. For us, working with strong technology partners is key to providing practical, integrated solutions from a single source.
Our Latest Developments: Precision, Efficiency and Flexibility
Alongside our joint automation solutions, we also presented several in-house developments at the NextGen Welding Summit, further expanding our product portfolio.
Two new servo-electric welding heads will soon complement our range of products. They enable precise adjustments and short cycle times. As they operate without compressed air, they can also help reduce operating costs. Another advantage is their straightforward integration: the welding heads are controlled directly via the Bosch Rexroth welding power supply, eliminating the need for a separate programmable logic controller (PLC).
We also introduced our new KWZ-Splice compaction tool, which enables wire strands with cross-sections of up to 18.0 mm² to be joined and extended. The process is particularly versatile, as it can be used with different materials, including coated materials. This opens up additional possibilities for demanding applications in wire processing.
Technical Exchange and Bavarian Hospitality
For the summit, we transformed our premises in Betzigau’s industrial area into a meeting place for technology, knowledge sharing and personal interaction. In addition to the exhibition areas in our company buildings, a marquee provided plenty of space for conversations and networking among visitors, partners and our team.
On October 14, we also invited our international distribution partners and representatives from Bosch Rexroth’s national subsidiaries to a traditional Bavarian evening. Over regional food and live music, we had the opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, establish new connections and continue exchanging ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.
Shaping the Future of Manufacturing Together
The NextGen Welding Summit 2026 once again demonstrated the enormous potential of combining innovative welding and compaction technology with intelligent automation and strong partnerships. Through our product developments and the solutions presented together with our partners, we aim to help make manufacturing processes more efficient, flexible and future-ready.
We would like to thank all our visitors, partners and contributors who helped make these three days such a successful event. Open dialogue, the exchange of ideas and close collaboration with our partners are essential foundations for developing innovative solutions to meet our customers’ challenges, both now and in the future.
Thank you for three inspiring days of exchange and collaboration. We look forward to our next joint projects!
